Magge- Bikkand Sukke is a coconut based dish made using yellow cucumber and jackfruit seeds. Jackfruit seeds are very tasty and healthy too. They are rich in protein. So next time don't forget to save the seeds. You can enjoy them plain, cooked in salted water or make a gravy like this. If jackfruit seeds are not available then you can substitute potatoes. Ingredients:
Yellow Cucumber - 1(500g)
Jackfruit seeds - 30
Jaggery - A small piece
Salt - To taste
For Seasoning-
Coconut oil -1 Tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 5-6
For Masala-
Grated coconut - 3/4 cup
Dry red chilli - 4-5
Tamarind - small marble sized
Coriander seeds - 1 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 2 tsp
