Vaali Papashpal Ambat is a popular Konkani recipe. Malabar spinach, raw papaya, onion and dal are cooked together. It is then simmered in a spiced coconut paste. It is then finished off with a tempering of fried onions. This humble dish is a comfort dish of many people and turns out very good. Usually it is served with rice. It can also be served along with dosa and idli. I hope you enjoy making this. Please leave me a comment if you have any questions.
